Armin Roeseler, Ph.D.
Armin Roeseler, Principal with Ft. Sheridan Group is a visionary with the ability to execute and influence at the business/IT intersection. He is a synergistic leader with an engaging style, consultative approach and excellent management and interaction skills at all levels. He is an expert at developing pragmatic, actionable solutions; he collaborates effectively across multiple stakeholder groups; and he is able to generate buy-in even in politically and emotionally charged situations. Armin is a strong facilitator with the ability to align resources to drive IT programs. In particular, he excels in ambiguous environments that require critical thinking and strong problem solving skills. Dr. Roeseler also held executive positions with international financial services firms and research institutions. He was the CTO for the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago, and held C-Level technology leadership positions with Bank One Corp. (now JP Morgan Chase), ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank, Lehman Brothers, Barclays Capital and Bank of New York/ConvergEx Group. He started his career as a Systems Analyst with AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Education and Professional Affiliations
Dr. Roeseler holds a M.S. in Computer and Information Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology where he was a Fulbright Scholar from his native Germany. His Ph.D. is in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a U.S. Patent holder, has published numerous articles on IT performance analysis, management aspects and best practices, and has lectured at international conferences in the U.S., Europe and Australia. He is a thought-leader, invited speaker and has received multiple “Exceptional Contribution” and nominations for “Best Paper” Awards in his field. He is an adjunct faculty member at both Illinois Institute of Technology and North Eastern Illinois University where he teaches graduate classes in Computer Science and M.B.A programs.
